Julianne Di Benedetto (CP®, AACP, ILAP) is a paralegal at Shannon Law Group in its vaccine injury practice.  Before joining the firm, she was the Senior Supervising Paralegal at a bankruptcy and tax law firm for six years, where she managed everything from preparing business and individual bankruptcy petitions and motions to training new employees and interns.

Julianne earned her Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and graduated with High Honors.  As a student, she served as President of the college’s chapter of Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX) National Paralegal Honor Society, served as Vice President of the college’s Paralegal Club, and she was the Paralegal Student Representative to the program’s Advisory Council.

After graduation, Julianne earned the ILAP credential from the Illinois Paralegal Association, the Certified Paralegal® credential from NALA, and the American Alliance Certified Paralegal credential from the American Alliance of Paralegals, Inc.  She is currently studying to earn the Registered Paralegal® credential from NFPA. Julianne has been featured on the American Bar Association’s website and the College of DuPage’s website in recognition of her accomplishments as a paralegal.    Julianne was awarded the 2021 Rising Star Award from NALA for “exemplary service to the paralegal profession.”

As a firm believer in education, Julianne returned to the College of DuPage to pursue additional certificates and degrees in arts, accounting, and office technology.  As a returning student, Julianne serves as the Vice President and Alumni Liaison of Paralegal Club, the Vice President and Alumni Liaison of LEX, and is the Head of the COD Paralegal Alumni Association.  She also sits on the paralegal program Advisory Council and is the chair of the West Suburban Section of the Illinois Paralegal Association.

Julianne is dedicated to growing professionally.  While a student, she became certified in QuickBooks and in Microsoft Excel.  She completed the legal technology program from the National Society for Legal Technology and earned a Legal Tech Certificate.

Julianne also volunteers at speaking engagements to paralegal students and paralegal organizations across the country on various topics.

In her spare time, Julianne enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandon, and their cats, Bynx and Savannah.
