In July of 2025, Shannon Law Group resolved a case in Illinois on behalf of a 36-year-old woman. In June of 2021, our client was driving her minivan on her way to work when a commercial box truck pulled out in front of her. The box truck crossed into her preferred travel pathway, and she could not avoid the impact.
She claimed several injuries because of the collision, including a C5-6 disc herniation and subsequent facet joint symptomatology. Our client underwent a single-level disc replacement surgery.
After years of litigation, her case settled less than a month before trial.

In October of 2024, Shannon Law Group resolved a case in Illinois on behalf of a 64-year-old woman. Our client was rear-ended by a vehicle and was propelled forward into another vehicle.
She claimed several injuries because of the collision, including a traumatic brain injury, right rotator cuff tear, right biceps tear, T9 vertebral fracture, and broken ribs on her left and right side. Our client underwent an arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery and open subpectoral biceps tenodesis.

$7.775 Million Verdict for Truck Accident in Will County
Taluc v. C.H. Robinson
On April 1, 2004, DeAn Henry was driving a 40-ton semi-tractor trailer loaded with potatoes when she lost control of the vehicle in slow-moving traffic on northbound Interstate 55 near Plainfield, IL. She rear-ended several cars, setting off a multi-vehicle chain reaction that led to two deaths, one serious injury, multiple other injuries, and property damage.
Our client's vehicle was the first car struck and was partially overridden by the semi-truck. Mr. Taluc sustained multiple crushing injuries, two collapsed lungs, seventeen broken bones, and required numerous surgeries. He also sustained a permanent disability in his lower right leg.
Verdict: $7,755,000 to William Taluc and his wife, Skye.
The three plaintiffs (Sperl, Taluc, and Sanders) were awarded a total of $23,775,000, the highest in Will County history at the time.

$4.8 Million Settlement for Forklift Accident Caused By Semi-Trailer Rollaway
In July 2019, our client, a forklift operator, reached a settlement for $4,825,000 for spine injuries he sustained from a truck rollaway crash.
Due to the crash, our client could no longer work as a forklift driver. He also couldn’t pursue a career as a union glazer, as he had planned before the crash.
The case resolved after we selected a jury for the Cook County trial.
$5 Million Settlement for Truck Accident Victim
In September 2018, our client accepted a $5,000,000 policy limit settlement after sustaining permanent injuries in a truck crash.
In February of 2016, our client’s vehicle was struck in an intersection by a roadside service truck that was attempting to make a left-hand turn. Our client sustained multiple left-side crush injuries and a traumatic brain injury in the crash. Her brain injury left her with no memory of the crash. The defendant’s truck driver testified that she had lawfully turned on a green arrow.

On July 13, 2017, our client, an injured truck driver, reached a confidential seven-figure settlement.
